Cartridge Tips & Tricks
To optimise your printing performance, before installing your new cartridge, thoroughly clean the print head of your printer with the printer's utilities manager twice before removing the old cartridge(s). May as well use the ink up if not completely empty.
Do not open the package of the new cartridge until you are ready to install it.
The carton contains a light/ air proof sachet to ensure your ink quality remains at least until the "use before date" printed on the box.
Store the carton in an upright position, out of direct sunlight & extremes in temperatures.
When the exciting moment has arrived to install your cartridge, open front lid of your printer & ensure your printer head has settled in the mid position of it's travel, facilitating the cartridge removal.
Have a suitable surface ready for the old ink cartridges keeping in mind there may be spillages.
If you have a multi-tank printer it is best to do cartridges one at a time to avoid fitting wrong colour tank in the wrong spot.
Unclip & remove old cartridge. Please recycle them!
Open new cartridge carton & remove cartridge from the inner protective sachet.
ALWAYS peel of the seal (on top) BEFORE you unclip the protector from the bottom of the tank, otherwise you will have ink all over the shop/ joint.
Read line above, then peel the sticker off (this allows air into the top of the tank), & any other plastic wrapping.
Keep cartridge in its install position, ie. upright.
Break/ unclip the protector at the bottom. Tip: use the protector to plug your old cartridge to minimise any possible spillage.
Insert each cartridge into your printer making sure it/ they are in the correct colour position (for printers with separate tanks) & click in well.
Repeat process for the other colours.
Close the front cover.
Printer should make some noises & carry on a bit.
After it has settled down it should not be necessary to do "clean" cycle (remember, cleaning uses up ink!).
Check to print quality & clean only if needed.

Search Tips
Enter your Printer's model number in the search field, example, for a Cannon S520 Bubble Jet/ InkJet printer
In the search field (white box, top left corner), Type:
(lower OR upper case - doesn't matter)
Click the button or press the Enter key on your keyboard.
For this particular printer there are 4 cartridges needed to restock it, however you can purchase one colour at a time as they run low. Black, Cyan, Magenta & Yellow.
Click the "product name" to confirm the correct cartridge for your printer in the product's description.
If it is a suitable product at a price you are happy with, click the "Add to Cart" button down the bottom right.
Your item will appear in the table on the right side of the screen (shopping cart) thoughout your journey on Cyclone Inks Australia & will tally the total cost, inc GST, without postage for when you are ready to "Checkout".
To buy more items or not the one selected at all, click the back button in your browser.
You can at any stage check your cart or check out by clicking the appropriate buttons at the top right.
Note for searching: Canon is spelt Canon, note Cannon (like I spell it ;) ), for Hewlett Packard cartridges, #53, no 53 & no. 53 may give different & erronous results. Type 53 instead. It may give more results but you can cross reference the result with your printer make if the product name does not state "53".
What is "PHOTO"?
In addtion to the normal cartridges there are "photo" cartridges. These are produced to give better results on photo quality (layered) paper. We will contact you if you order Photo Ink to ensure you really meant to order Photo Ink.
